The Magic of Meditation

I was always in awe of ?people who meditated. ?Inwardly I asked myself, “What is this stuff? How do you do it? Why do people who meditate seem like they know the answer to some ancient secret?” ?I was always curious, but with a busy life never seemed to find the time to explore the topic properly.And then I bought an iPhone. Amazing how technology has the power to transform your life if you use it for good. ?I discovered an app that’s a guided meditation called Relax. ?I’ve been listening to the slow, hypnotic brogue of Andrew Johnson for a couple of years now. ?I wish I had the exact date of when I downloaded this app, because it’s a day I would have celebrated like any other milestone in life ~ that’s how much I love it.

For seasoned veterans of meditation, this method may be a bit elemental for you. ?But for me and the numerous friends, family and clients I’ve recommended it to, it’s a great place to start. ?What I like about this app is the settings feature. ?You can set it to wake you or let you sleep and set the length based on how much time you have. ?There’s also an?MP3?version available on his website for anyone who doesn’t have an app based phone. ?Also free.

I’ve noticed a big difference since I started listening to Relax. I’m not as stressed out as I used to be, have a lot more energy, I’m able to shut down the “monkey mind” at night when it’s time to get some sleep and I feel a lot more creative. ?Meditation is also known for slowing down the aging process, reducing anxiety, boosting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, improving digestion and naturally resolving a myriad of health problems.
