Does this sound like you?
You’ve always felt like you could handle “more” than the average person. More stress, more responsibilities, more work, more chores … more, more, more.
But the older you get, the harder it gets to stay on top of all this “more.”
You’re starting to FEEL the stress in your body. Anxiety has taken up residence like an unwanted house guest rather than an occasional visitor. Your hair is thinning or falling out in clumps. And you’re always tired.
You may even worry that if you don’t get a grip on the overwhelm that you’ll end up with some stress-related illness in the future. Maybe you’re already feeling the effects of years of “more.”
On top of that, you’re probably a people pleaser and go out of your way to make sure everyone else is happy and comfortable before addressing your own needs.
As one woman put it, she was “beginning to accept that she’d always feel overwhelmed, rushing out the door 5 minutes late, hair barely dry, wrangling the kids into the car, frazzled, and in a constant state of overwhelm.”
Are your own needs merely a passing thought before you jump back into “more?” Or maybe by the time you get to yourself, you’ve got nothing left to give. I’ve heard some women say if they had time for themselves, they’d have no idea what to do with it. Other than “more.”
Most women know the way they’re living is an issue, but they don’t know how to change it.
If any of this rings true for you, you’re not alone. This way of living is a pattern of behavior that becomes normalized when it’s repeated over and over. If you do something enough and with enough emotion behind it—usually resentment, anger, frustration, anxiety, and depression—it’s easy to get caught in a loop and repeat the same thing over and over. Even if you don’t want to.
If you’re wishing there was a way to get to the bottom of this and do a lot less “more,” I invite you to join me and other extraordinary women for my group program, the L.I.V.E. Protocol.
The L.I.V.E. Protocol is a virtual, live, immersive experience. You won’t just be learning how to live better; you’ll experience living better. By interacting with other women who want “more” for themselves, doing specific exercises during the sessions and sharing with like-minded women, you’ll learn how to take care of yourself the way you take care of others.
