The holidays are fast approaching with Thanksgiving just days away. I love the trifecta of family, food, and fun at this time of year. Thanksgiving is my favorite, but it comes with my biggest challenges. Namely, overeating and indulging in lots of sweets.
Eating pies, cakes, and other sweets are time-honored traditions most of us love. Which is usually heaped on top of turkey, gravy, stuffing and potatoes.
Tell the truth: Do you already have your overeating outfit picked out? Do you wear pants with a stretchy waistband in anticipation of stuffing yourself?
I know I?ve planned my outfit around my expectations in the past. Have you done this too?
If you have, stick with me because I may have a solution for you. This year I?m making a plan.
Plan A is deciding before Thursday what I want to eat. My plan is to load my plate with veggies and small servings of stuffing and gravy. I?ll sample some desserts rather than snarf down a full portion of everything. That way I can experience all of it without overdoing it.
Planning ahead of time sets my own expectations. No one is forcing me to overeat and overindulge. I get to make those choices for myself. And you can do the same. Have a little of everything so you don?t feel like you?re missing out but not so much that you need to unbutton your pants at the table. A little self-control will go a long way with your self-respect.
If you do decide to let loose and indulge in all the wonderful foods on your table, make your mind up ahead of time to be ok with that. No regrets. No recriminations.
And have Plan B ready.
Plan B this year is a two-week program I?m offering after the holidays called Choose to Lose. It?s an opportunity to get back on track by cleaning up your diet and adding in some weights to start building strength. We?ll be doing it together in a private group where we can start to shed some of the winter weight and fuel our bodies with food that nourishes and strengthens us.
And here?s the best part:
I?m offering a Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale where you?ll get the entire program for $79 ? that?s over 50% off the full price of $149!
I know this might seem to be too good to be true, but it?s the real deal. If getting your health back on track after the holidays is important to you, I invite you to take advantage of this super saver! After Monday, the price goes up. You?ll still be eligible for Early Bird pricing of $129 (valid until December 31) but the super sale Black Friday / Cyber Monday pricing will be a distant memory.

Enjoy your family, good food and time together!
Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving!
