Using Essential Oils to Alleviate Anxiety

Essential Oils have been around for thousands of years. They’re often discounted as a therapeutic aid because most people associate them with just smelling good. Like a candle.

They’re much more powerful than that. Essential oils are extracted directly from plants that have healing qualities. Different oils do different things.

Lavender is often used for its calming effect and it’s a good choice. But it’s not the only one. Basil essential oil, for example, is an amazing oil for stress and anxiety. According to the book, Emotions and Essential Oils, it’s helpful for alleviating symptoms of adrenal exhaustion and the moods associated with it: overwhelm, fatigue, low energy and the inability to cope with life’s stressors.

There are also oil blends where reputable companies research synergies between plants and combine them to address specific health concerns. doTERRA‘s Peace blend counteracts anxious and fearful emotions.
